Fundación Universidad Europea Miguel de Cervantes - Academic Quality Scholarship

Benefit

You will receive up to 1,000 EUR as a grant towards your tuition fees for your first year of your Bachelor’s degree at the Miguel de Cervantes European University (UEMC) in Valladolid, Spain. The amount depends on the number of credits you enrol for and will be spread over the four years of your degree. The money will be transferred to your bank account and will not be deducted from your tuition fees. This is a merit-based grant for new students with excellent academic results, jointly funded by the Fundación UEMC and Banco Santander.

Eligibility

• Degree: You are starting an official Bachelor’s degree programme at UEMC for the first time.
• On campus: You’re studying in person in Valladolid, not online.
• Field of study: Open to all subjects.
• Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
• Grades: You have a grade point average of at least 8. This is the most important selection criterion, with only the results from the last 5 years being taken into account.
• Enrolment: You have enrolled or pre-registered at the UEMC before the deadline.
• Other awards: You cannot combine this grant with the UEMC High-Achievement Grant or any other grants from the Fundación UEMC. The total amount of your public and private funding must not exceed your total costs.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted via Banco Santander’s online platform. There, you must upload your identity card, an official academic transcript and proof of enrolment at the UEMC. The application deadline is 14 July. To receive the scholarship, you must attend the Foundation’s awards ceremony.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is tied to one university and a clear grade threshold, so the eligible group is small: incoming UEMC students with an average of 8 or higher. If you are enrolling there and clearly clear that grade bar, your prospects are good, since selection rests mainly on your grades. Places are capped each year, so apply early and have your grade certificate ready.
