This is a Master’s scholarship offered by IE University in Madrid for talented first-year students facing financial difficulties. The IE Foundation funds these scholarships through donations from alumni, companies and partner organisations. IE’s merit-based scholarships typically cover between 10% and 40% of your tuition fees, depending on both your academic performance and your financial need. The exact amount of this scholarship is not disclosed; therefore, please regard the range from 10 to 40% as a general range for IE rather than a guaranteed amount.

  • Field of study: Any master’s programme at IE University is eligible.
  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
  • Grades: You have a track record of outstanding academic and professional achievements.
  • Financial need: You need help covering your tuition fees and living costs, and have limited access to other sources of funding.

How to apply

Complete the online application for financial support from IE University. You can submit this at the same time as your application for admission, but it will only be assessed once you have been admitted. The deadline is the start date of your programme. You can apply for up to three IE scholarships.

How realistic are your chances?

IE University has awarded grants totalling more than 18 million euros to numerous students for 2024/25, so there is a substantial funding pool available. As awards are based on both academic merit and financial need, a clear, well-documented case for both aspects carries more weight than academic results alone. Meeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee approval; you should therefore apply early and focus on the scholarships that best match your profile.
