About this scholarship
What the IE University master's awards offer
At IE University in Segovia, Spain, you will receive a discount of 10% to 40% off your master's tuition fees. These are known as ‘IE Awards’ and are available to students starting any Master’s programme. The exact amount of the discount is determined individually for each student. It depends on your academic performance and your financial circumstances. In 2024/25, IE University reported that it had awarded more than 18 million euros in grants to students from over 121 countries.
Who can apply
- Degree level: You are starting a new Master’s programme at IE University and are not continuing a programme you have already started.
- Field of study: Every master’s degree programme counts.
- Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
- Timing: Applications must be submitted before the programme begins. Once the programme has started, it is no longer possible to apply.
- Grades: You will need to have excellent academic results, as the scholarships are merit-based.
- Financial need: Your financial situation also plays a part. If two applicants are similarly qualified, the one in greatest need will be selected.
How to apply
You can apply for financial support via IE University’s online form as soon as you submit your application for admission. A scholarships committee will only review your application once you have been admitted. The deadline is the start date of your degree programme, and you may apply for up to three scholarships at the same time.
How realistic are your chances?
These scholarships are open to all new Master’s students, so there is a large pool of applicants. Meeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee an offer. An outstanding academic record, combined with a demonstrable financial need, will give you the best chance of success, as financial need is the deciding factor when applicants are of equal merit. Apply as early as possible, rather than waiting until the deadline.
