Banco Santander "Tomás Moro" scholarship at UAO CEU

You will receive 7,500 EUR for one year to undertake a Bachelor’s degree at Abat Oliba CEU University (UAO CEU) in Barcelona. Two of these scholarships are awarded each year to first-year students with outstanding school-leaving qualifications. You will also take part in a humanities training programme at the Banco Santander Education Centre in Madrid. The scholarship is part of a partnership between Banco Santander (Santander Universidades) and the CEU universities.

Who can apply

• University: You are starting your first year of your Bachelor’s degree at UAO CEU in Barcelona.
• Study phase: You are a first-year student (nuevo ingreso) and are not already enrolled.
• Grades: You achieved an average of at least 9.0 out of 10 in both your A-levels (Bachillerato) and the Spanish university entrance examination (Selectividad / PAU).
• Field of study: Any topic is fine.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Renewal: In order to continue receiving the grant in subsequent years, you must achieve at least a ‘Notable’ grade (7 out of 10) in each subject and complete the required community service hours.

How to apply

Applications are made via the UAO CEU when you enrol for your first year of study. There are several application deadlines in March, April, May and June.

How realistic are your chances?

Only two of these scholarships are awarded each year, and you need an average of 9.0 for both your school-leaving qualifications and the entrance exam – so the bar is set high. If you clearly achieve these grades and enrol as a first-year student at UAO CEU, very few applicants will be able to match you. It is advantageous to apply by one of the earlier deadlines. Your results will determine whether you receive this funding.
