About this grant / loan

What you get

The University of Seville provides academic support to students in special circumstances, including victims of terrorism, but does not offer financial assistance. They are entitled to personalised academic support. Within one month of your status being recognised, a study plan committee will review your case. It may decide on adjustments, such as changes to your study plan, alternative examination dates, a different course of study or part-time study. Depending on your situation, you may also be given priority when selecting modules and semesters, alternative examination dates if these coincide with a hospital stay or a bereavement, and – for students with a disability – technical aids and personal support.

Who can apply

  • Where you study: You are enrolled on an official Bachelor’s (Grado) or Master’s degree programme at one of the University of Seville’s main campuses, not at an affiliated campus.
  • Field of study: Open to all subjects.
  • Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
  • Your situation: You are in one of the recognised special circumstances. These include: being a victim of terrorism, abuse or gender-based violence; having a disability; being pregnant or looking after a child under the age of 3 or a relative in need of care; combining study with work; or being a top-level athlete.
  • Proof: You can provide evidence of your circumstances by means of official documents.

How to apply

If you have a disability or are facing a serious personal emergency (including victims of terrorism), please submit your application via the University’s online platform or in person at an enrolment office. In the event of pregnancy, care responsibilities, employment or competitive sport, please contact the Dean or Director of your faculty in writing via the secretariat. The deadline is 25 October. Should your situation arise later in the year, you may still submit your application at that time.

How realistic are your chances?

This is not a competitive scholarship, but rather an entitlement for enrolled students who meet one of the specified criteria. There is no set number of places available. If you are studying at the University of Seville and can prove that you belong to one of the recognised groups, the grant should be awarded. Clear documentation substantiating your circumstances is crucial to the decision.
