Federation of Austrian Industry Carinthia - Excellence Grants of the Federation of Austrian Industry (IV) Carinthia

What you get

A one-off payment of EUR 10,000, paid in two instalments across a six-month stay abroad. The grant is funded jointly by the Federation of Austrian Industry Carinthia (IV Kärnten) and the Carinthian Chamber of Commerce (WKK).

Who can apply

• Nationality: You hold Austrian citizenship.
• Carinthian connection: You currently live in Carinthia, have lived there for at least five years, or have another strong personal tie to the region.
• Age: You are 30 or younger at the application deadline.
• Degree: You have at least a bachelor's degree from a university or university of applied sciences.
• Grades: Your academic results are above average.
• Field: STEM subjects (maths, computer science, natural sciences, engineering) are the priority. Strong applications from other fields are considered if the work is relevant to Carinthia's economy.
• Planned stay: Your placement has not yet started and will last at least six months.
• References: At least two subject professors support your application in writing.
• Relevance: Your work abroad must produce results that benefit the Carinthian economy.

How to apply

Apply to IV Kärnten by 31 May; electronic submission is accepted. A jury appointed by IV Kärnten and WKK selects recipients.
