Agricultural Student Association Sampsa ry - Scholarship

Sampsa ry agricultural student scholarship

You will receive a one-off scholarship of around 500 EUR, which is paid once per person. It is awarded each year by the Sampsa ry Agricultural Students’ Association. This is the students’ association for agricultural students at the University of Helsinki’s Viikki Campus. The funds come from the association’s own resources, and around 10 scholarships are awarded each year. The recipients are announced at the association’s annual ceremony.

Who can apply

• Membership: You are currently a member of Sampsa ry and have paid your membership fee before 1 May of the year in which you submit your application.
• Where you study: You are studying agricultural sciences at the University of Helsinki (Viikki Campus).
• Activity: You have accumulated enough ‘Sampsa points’. You earn these by taking part in the association’s events, by holding positions on the executive committee or in elected roles, through voluntary work, and by leading projects. This is the most important criterion.
• Grades: Your academic progress and results also count, but less than your activity.
• First time: You have not yet received this scholarship.

How to apply

The application period begins in the autumn, in good time before the annual celebration. Please complete the Sampsa scholarship application form and enclose your academic transcript and a list of the Sampsa points you have accumulated. A scholarship committee reviews the applications and decides who will receive the scholarship.
