Tampere University Foundation – Student of Local Government Scholarship Fund - Scholarship

Fund for Municipal Studies (University of Tampere Foundation)

You may receive a grant of up to 5,000 EUR. The Foundation allocates this amount amongst the students selected in each annual round, so your individual grant will be below this upper limit. The grant is valid for one application round and is intended to support your studies in local government (local government studies) at the University of Tampere in Finland. It comes from the Local Government Studies Fund, which forms part of the Tampere University Foundation (Tampereen Yliopiston Tukisäätiö sr) and was established in 1986 with donations from Finnish towns and cities.

Who can apply

• University: You’re studying at the University of Tampere.
• Field of study: Your area of expertise is local government (local government studies).
• Level: You are a Master’s student or postgraduate working towards a licentiate or doctoral degree.
• Grades: You have achieved good academic results in your field of study.
• Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they are studying at the University of Tampere.

How to apply

Registration and applications are made via the Foundation’s online funding portal. The application deadline is in September each year. The deadline is on 22 September at 23:59; late applications will not be considered.
