Aarne and Aili Turunen Foundation research grant

You get a research grant for studying heart and circulatory diseases. The money supports doctoral research (work towards a PhD), general research projects and specific project work. The Finnish foundation was set up in 1978 in Kuopio and funds scientific research into cardiovascular disease.

Who can apply

• What you research: Your work must be on heart and circulatory diseases.
• Study phase: The grants mainly go to doctoral researchers, especially those nearing the end of their PhD.
• Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
• University: You can apply wherever you are based.

How to apply

Fill in the foundation's application form and email it in. A new form appears on the foundation's website each November with the exact deadline and instructions. The deadline is usually around 31 March.
