Travel grant for doctoral researchers (Faculty of Health Sciences)

For travel undertaken as part of your PhD studies, such as conferences, seminars and research stays abroad, you will receive travel support. The funding is provided by the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) in Joensuu and Kuopio. There is no fixed amount. The Faculty decides on each grant on a case-by-case basis.

Who can apply

• Level: You are a doctoral researcher (working towards a PhD).
• Faculty: You are enrolled at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Eastern Finland.
• Field of study: A health sciences subject at the faculty, for example medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing science, nutrition or biomedicine.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Purpose: Your trip is linked to your doctoral training, such as a conference, seminar or research stay.

How to apply

You can apply twice a year; the deadlines are 31 March and 29 August. The application deadlines and instructions are published on the Viva-Engage channel for the Faculty of Health Sciences’ doctoral programmes. You can access this once you have registered as a doctoral student at UEF.
