About this scholarship
Benefit
You will receive a grant of up to 12 months to complete the final phase of your doctoral thesis in the field of medical research. The funding comes from the Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale (FRM), a French charitable organisation which has been supporting medical research for over 75 years and funds hundreds of research projects across France every year.
Eligibility
- Level: You are a PhD student and are in the final stages of your doctoral thesis.
- Field of study: You work in the natural sciences or in medicine and health sciences.
- Where you research: You’re carrying out your research in France.
- Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
How to apply
Please apply to the Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale by 23 June.
How realistic are your chances?
This scholarship is aimed at a narrowly defined target group: PhD students in medical or natural science research who are nearing the completion of their doctoral thesis. As a result, the pool of eligible candidates is small. So, if you clearly meet the subject area and stage of study requirements and submit your application by the deadline, your prospects are good. As with any research scholarship, a convincing, well-substantiated case is paramount.
