Adami Grants at the Conservatoire de Paris

You get a one-off project grant to help you take the next professional step near the end of your studies at the Conservatoire de Paris. It covers concrete projects: attending a masterclass, an internship or a workshop, entering a competition in France or abroad, or buying a musical instrument. The grant comes from Adami, a French body that manages performing artists' rights, in partnership with the Conservatoire. The amount is not published in advance and is set case by case. This is a project grant, not a monthly study allowance.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are enrolled as a student at the Conservatoire de Paris (CNSMDP).
• Study phase: You are about to complete your degree, for example, your Master’s degree or your DFS (Diplôme de Formation Supérieure).
• Field: Music and the performing arts, in line with your course of study at the conservatoire.
• Your project: You have a specific plan – for example, a masterclass, a competition or buying an instrument – that fits in with your studies and your career.
• Nationality: Open to all nationalities. If you are studying at the Conservatoire as part of the Erasmus+ programme or another exchange scheme, you cannot apply here and should contact your home university instead.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted via the Conservatoire’s student portal (ENT) in the ‘Aides privées’ section, together with the complete application documents and the required supporting evidence. Calls for applications usually begin after the Christmas holidays, and the deadline for applications is 5 May. An internal committee at the Conservatoire reviews all applications and reaches its decision within 72 hours of the meeting.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is very strictly defined. You must be a student at the Conservatoire de Paris who is about to complete your course of study and be able to present a clear, well-justified project, meaning that the pool of eligible candidates is small. The selection panel will take into account your financial and family circumstances, your academic performance and how well the project aligns with your course of study. A coherent, concrete plan is just as important as talent. If you meet these criteria and submit a compelling application when the call for applications opens, your chances are good.
