What the Eurocampus Grant gives you

You will receive a one-off payment of 600 EUR for a study visit or compulsory work placement in Catalonia or the Balearic Islands (Spain). Your stay must last at least 6 weeks. The funding comes from the Occitanie/Pyrénées-Méditerranée region as part of its ‘Mouv’Occitanie’ mobility programme, which enables students to undertake cross-border stays in these Spanish regions. You may only receive one regional mobility grant per academic year and cannot combine it with other lump-sum grants from the region. However, you may receive it in addition to an Erasmus+ grant.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are enrolled at a higher education institution in the Occitanie region (Montpellier or Toulouse universities).
• Where you go: Your study placement or work placement will take place in Catalonia or the Balearic Islands in Spain.
• Study level: You must be between the second year of a Bachelor’s degree (Licence) and the second year of a Master’s degree to undertake a compulsory placement. To take part in a study visit, you must be in the first or second year of a Master’s degree programme. First-year Bachelor’s students, PhD students and students taking a gap year are not eligible to apply.
• Length of stay: Your stay abroad will last at least 6 weeks.
• Field of study: All subjects are welcome.
• Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply. The key requirement is that you are studying at a higher education institution in the Occitanie region.
• Internship pay: If you are doing an internship, the remuneration you receive must not exceed the statutory threshold.

How to apply

Applications are made via your university’s International Relations Office. The decision on which students to nominate rests with this department; funding is therefore not automatic. If you are selected, you will receive a personalised link to the region’s online portal via email. You will then have 15 days to upload your documents.

How realistic are your chances?

This grant is narrow: you must study in Occitanie and go specifically to Catalonia or the Balearic Islands, so few students qualify. The real filter is your own institution, which selects candidates within its budget before the region confirms. If you clearly meet the level and destination rules and get your institution's backing early, your prospects are good.
