About this scholarship

What you get

You will receive a one-off grant of 15,000 EUR for a research project in the field of intensive care and resuscitation medicine during your 2 Master’s year. Master 2 is the second year of a French Master’s programme and is often used for a comprehensive research project. The scholarship covers a research period of 12 months. The SRLF, the French-speaking Society for Intensive Care Medicine, awards two of these scholarships each year.

Who can apply

  • Who you are: You are a doctor or a member of the non-medical healthcare profession, for example a nurse or a physiotherapist.
  • Study level: You are enrolled on a Master’s degree programme 2 and are carrying out a research project as part of this programme.
  • Where you research: Their research laboratory works in collaboration with an intensive care unit.
  • Field: Your project focuses on intensive care and resuscitation.
  • Membership: You have been a member of the SRLF for at least 12 months and have paid your membership fees.
  • Your mentor: Your project supervisor is also a member of the SRLF and has paid membership fees for at least five consecutive years prior to your application.
  • Nationality: All nationalities can apply.

How to apply

You can apply online via your personal account on the SRLF website in the ‘Funding’ section. All documents must be submitted in French. For 2026, you can submit your application between 18 February and 17. March 2026 at 9:00. The jury will meet in May 2026, and the winners will be announced at the annual Reanimation Congress.

How realistic are your chances?

The criteria for this award are quite strict: you must already be a member of the SRLF and be undertaking a Master’s research project 2 in the field of intensive care medicine, and your supervisor must also be a long-standing member. This ensures that the pool of applicants remains small and specialised. If you clearly meet these criteria and submit a compelling project proposal by the deadline, your chances are good, as only two grants are awarded each year.
