Essonne study-abroad grant

You will receive 400 EUR per month for up to 10 months to fund a study period abroad. The funding comes from the Conseil Départemental de l’Essonne, the local authority for the Essonne department (department 91) south of Paris in France. It is intended to cover the additional costs incurred by spending a semester or a full academic year studying abroad.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are enrolled at a higher education institution in the Essonne region, such as the University of Évry Val d'Essonne or the University of Paris-Sud in Orsay.
• Where you go: Your study period will take place abroad, outside France.
• Field of study: Any subject.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is restricted to students at a small number of higher education institutions in the Essonne department who are planning to study abroad; consequently, the pool of eligible applicants is small and competition is low. If you are studying in the region and have planned a study period abroad, your chances are good. As this is a scholarship offered by the local authority, clear and well-documented applications will be given special consideration.
