About this scholarship
PSB Paris School of Business scholarships
You will receive a one-off grant of Merit Scholarship of up to 2,000 EUR to study at the PSB Paris School of Business, a private business school in Paris where all degree programmes are taught entirely in English. The amount depends on your level of study: up to 1,000 EUR for bachelor’s degree programmes (BBA or International Bachelor in Management) and up to 2,000 EUR for master’s degree programmes (MSc or MBA). The university awards the scholarship to applicants with very good grades and a proven record of extracurricular activities.
PSB can also forward your application for the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship, a French government scholarship worth 1,181 EUR per month, which also covers travel expenses, health insurance and cultural activities. It funds a full Master’s programme (24 months) or a second year of a Master’s degree (12 months) in the fields of economics and management, engineering, or law and political science. However, it does not cover tuition fees at PSB.
Who can apply
- Level: You are applying for a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Executive degree programme at PSB.
- Grades: You have an excellent academic record and can demonstrate involvement in activities outside your studies, such as club activities, sport or voluntary work.
- Nationality (Merit): Applicants of any nationality are welcome to apply, whether you are French or from abroad.
- Language: You do not need to know French, as all degree programmes are taught in English. You must provide evidence of English language proficiency equivalent to at least the level of IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL 70.
- Eiffel scholarship extras: To be eligible for the Eiffel Prize, you must be a non-French national, be aged 30 or under on the day of the selection committee’s meeting, and not be in receipt of any other scholarship. If you are still living abroad, you will be given preference over applicants who are already in France.
How to apply
You should submit your standard application to the PSB, enclosing a one-page personal statement explaining why you deserve the merit-based scholarship. There is no fixed application deadline. The PSB accepts applications throughout the year and allocates places on a first-come, first-served basis; you should therefore apply as early as possible. Suitable candidates will be invited to a short interview with the Dean of Studies, which will take place either on campus in Paris or via Skype; the result will be available approximately two weeks later. You cannot apply for the Eiffel Scholarship yourself; the PSB will submit the application on your behalf.
How realistic are your chances?
The merit-based scholarship is open to all PSB applicants, so whilst the pool of applicants is large, funds are limited and are awarded on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Applying early is your greatest advantage. A compelling, one-page personal statement in which you back up your good grades with specific examples of your achievements will set you apart from other applicants. The ‘Eiffel’ route is far more competitive and subject to strict restrictions regarding age and nationality; furthermore, each school is only permitted to submit one application.
