About this grant / loan

What the FSDIE-Projets grant gives you

Your student association gets a grant towards the cost of a project for students at the University Clermont Auvergne, in Auvergne, France. The amount depends on your project and its budget. Recent examples show the range: 1,811 EUR for a charity gala, 2,493 EUR for a free period-underwear giveaway, 4,700 EUR for a cultural trip, and 7,052 EUR for handing out vegetable boxes. A separate pot of 20,000 EUR is set aside for sustainability projects. The money comes from the student fee every enrolled student pays (the Contribution Vie Étudiante et de Campus, or CVEC), of which about 21 EUR per student goes to this fund. The fund never pays 100% of a project, so you must also raise money elsewhere. Festive events get at most 10% of their budget covered.

Who can apply

  • Who you are: You are applying as a registered students’ association (an association under the 1901 Act, a French non-profit organisation) and not as an individual. The majority of the executive committee, and in any case the chairperson, must be students at the University of Clermont-Auvergne or an affiliated higher education institution.
  • Linked schools: The INP Clermont Auvergne, VetAgro Sup, ENSACF, ESACM, ESC Clermont Business School, ITSRA and ISRP Vichy are also included, even though some of them manage their own funding.
  • The project: This is an event or initiative for UCA students, such as a cultural trip, a charity or solidarity initiative, or a sustainability project.
  • Timing: The project must take place after the next application deadline.
  • Field of study: Open to all subjects.
  • Nationality: All nationalities welcome.
  • Not funded: Projects relating to your degree programme or the acquisition of ECTS credits, as well as building or fit-out projects.

How to apply

Your society should submit its application and the relevant supporting documents to the University’s Student Life Office (Direction de la Vie Étudiante). In 2026/2027, there are four deadlines: 25 September 2026, 18 December 2026, 26 February 2027 or 23 April 2027. If you are applying for 1,000 EUR or more, you will also need to present your project to the examination board before it makes a decision. You will have 5 minutes for the presentation, followed by 10 minutes for questions.

How realistic are your chances?

This fund has strict eligibility criteria: only registered UCA student societies may apply, and only for projects aimed at students; consequently, the pool of applicants is small and geographically limited. If your association is properly established, your project clearly benefits UCA students and you have secured co-funding, your chances are good. A clearly defined project strengthens your application, particularly a sustainability project, for which a separate fund of 20,000 EUR is available.
