"Trajets d'avenir" scholarship

You will receive 3,825 EUR for one academic year to fund your studies and living costs. You will also be supported by a personal mentor: a volunteer from the transport company RATP who will support you throughout the year, offer you career advice, introduce you to their professional network and give you an insight into what it’s like to work for a large organisation. The scholarship is jointly administered by the CY Foundation (University of Cergy-Paris) and the RATP Group Foundation. It supports high-achieving students whose personal or financial circumstances make it difficult for them to continue with a demanding course of study.

Who can apply

• Level: You are enrolled in the second year of a Master’s degree programme (Master’s 2) at the University of Cergy Paris. You must not be enrolled in a dual study programme (apprenticeship).
• Field of study: Your degree programme falls within the fields of mathematics, physics, civil engineering, electronics/electrical energy/automation, computer science and systems engineering, earth and planetary sciences, or the environment, transport, mobility and networks.
• Financial need: You do not receive a government grant in France, or you receive only the lowest level (level 0 or 0bis).
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

You submit your application documents. These will be assessed on the basis of both your academic achievements and your social and financial circumstances. If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to an interview before the final decision is made.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is granted to very few people: only a handful are awarded each year. You must be a Master’s student in the subject 2 at a specific university, studying in one of the few specified departments, and receiving little or no state funding. This keeps the pool of eligible applicants small. If you clearly meet these criteria and can demonstrate both outstanding academic achievement and a genuine financial need, your chances are good.
