About this scholarship

What you get

You get a one-off tuition reduction of about 9,200 EUR (8,000 GBP), taken straight off your tuition fees for a master's at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. Two of these awards were offered, funded by a family endowment through the university's carbon innovation centre. They covered a small set of climate- and environment-focused master's programmes: climate change law, carbon finance, carbon management, ecosystem services, and marine systems and policies.

Who can apply

  • Where you live: You live in Greece or Cyprus when you apply.
  • Degree level: You are starting a master's. You cannot apply if you have already begun the course.
  • Subject: You take one of the eligible environment and climate master's programmes: law, finance, carbon management, ecosystem services or marine policy.
  • Grades: You hold or expect a strong first degree, equal to a UK First Class or 2:1 Honours result.
  • How you study: You study full-time or standard part-time. Online, distance and occasional part-time study do not count.

How to apply

First apply for a place on one of the eligible master's programmes. Once you have a university login, complete the online scholarship form. You needed an offer of admission, conditional or unconditional, by the deadline of 30 June. A committee reviewed applications and told everyone the outcome the following month.
