General Description
The Discretionary Fund for UK students provides a substantial bursary to students who need additional financial support during their studies. It is especially meant for matriculated students who find it difficult to cope with their current income. The Discretionary Fund cannot be used to cover tuition fees.
Requirements
Students from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are all eligible to apply. The student must have applied for a full, income-assessed student loan and have received the first installment. They must also have received the first payment of the student maintenance grant.
