The Government supports new students in their pursuit of higher education with two types of loans. The first type is tuition fees loans which are paid directly to the university or college. Tuition fee loans can reach up to £9,000 for full-time students and up to £6,750 for part-time students.
The institution that’s applied to must provide a qualifying course. Part-time students must undertake courses with a minimum rate of 25% of an equivalent full-time course. Loans are only available for students who are normally England residents and have been living in the UK for the past three years.
