If you have a partner (including a partner of the same sex) or another adult, usually a member of your family, who depends on you financially, you may be eligible for the Adult Dependants’ Grant.

About this grant / loan

General Description

The Student Loans Company supports students who have a partner (partners of the same sex are included) or an adult family member who depend on them. Adult Dependants’ Grant can amount to £2,642. These grants are income-assessed and are paid in three instalments.

Requirements

This aid is available to students with an adult who depends on them (financially). Grown up children don’t count as dependent adults.
