National University of Ireland, Maynooth - Paddy Harrington Golf Scholarships

Benefit

You get a place in one of Europe's leading golf support programmes while studying for a degree at Maynooth University in Ireland. The scholarship is named after the father of three-time Major champion Pádraig Harrington. The core is high-level golf coaching: up to 10 hours of training per week, plus up to 12 hours of coaching per month covering technique, fitness, mental performance, nutrition and physiotherapy. You also get a bursary of 167 EUR (a cash grant) towards sport costs such as equipment and travel. You also get priority for on-campus accommodation in your first year, free gym membership, academic support and career advice. Higher-tier scholars (Platinum and Gold) get extra benefits: access to the GUI National Academy and Carton House, a world amateur ranking tournament programme, winter warm-weather training camps and R&A Foundation scholarships. The award runs for up to 36 months. It is renewed each year if you keep up your studies, perform well on the course and compete for the university.
