University College Cork - THE SIR CHARLES CAMERON PRIZE

The Sir Charles Cameron Prize

You will receive a medal and a book token, a voucher that you can redeem for books. There is no fixed monetary value. The prize is funded from donated monies, so its value varies slightly each year depending on market conditions. University College Cork (UCC) awards it once a year to the top graduate of its ‘Public Health’ degree programme. The prize is named after Sir Charles Cameron (1830–1921), a health official from Dublin who, over a period of 50 years, worked to improve the living conditions of the city’s poor.
