About this scholarship
What you get
You receive about 2,500 EUR to spend a summer or short stay in France studying French. The money comes from University College Cork (UCC), which runs a fund set up by a former UCC professor of Romance languages. Up to two students can be funded each time.
Who can apply
- University: You study at University College Cork now.
- Subject: You take French to honours-degree level, the fuller and more demanding version of the degree.
- Grades: If French is not your first language, you need at least 180 out of 300 marks in French in your first-year UCC exams in Arts or in BComm (Hons) (International). On the BCL (Hons) in Law and French, you need at least 240 out of 400.
- Native speakers: The grade rule applies only to non-native speakers, so native French speakers can also apply.
