University of Galway - NUI Galway “Performance Points” Sports Scholarship

Benefit

You will receive 40 bonus points added to your CAO total, which will make it easier for you to gain entry to your chosen degree programme. The CAO (Central Applications Office) converts your final exam grades into points for university admission, so that these 40 bonus points can help you clear the admission hurdle for a highly sought-after degree programme. You’ll also receive a monthly living allowance, coaching, medical and physiotherapy support, advice on sports nutrition and psychology, strength and conditioning training, performance planning with a mentor (a personal adviser who supports your development), and career support. The scholarship runs for a period of up to 36 months. The University of Galway awards it to talented new undergraduate students who are elite athletes.
