Maynooth Union Postgraduate Scholarship

You will receive 3,000 EUR per year for your postgraduate studies at the Pontifical University of St Patrick in Maynooth, Ireland. The payment will be made in three instalments: one at the end of June, one at the start of the new academic year and one at the start of the second semester. The scholarship is valid for one year. You may renew it each year as long as you continue your studies. It is funded by the Maynooth Union, the network of alumni and friends of the university. One scholarship is awarded each year.

Who can apply

• Level: You are studying for a Master’s or PhD at the Pontifical University of St Patrick in Maynooth.
• Study phase: You are already a postgraduate student there, or newly admitted to a programme.
• Field of study: All subjects qualify.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Other funding: Your chances are better if you are not receiving any other scholarship or student finance.

How to apply

You do not need to submit a separate application. The university will email you a link as soon as you meet the requirements. Current Master’s students will receive this link by the end of June and again before the start of the new academic year. Newly enrolled students will receive it before the start of the second semester. The deadline is approximately 20 October.

How realistic are your chances?

A scholarship is awarded every year. The number of applicants is not specified.
