About this scholarship
Sizarship at Trinity College Dublin
You get your evening meal at the college, known as Commons, free of charge for the first two years of your undergraduate course (the Junior Fresh and Senior Fresh years). You do not receive money, you receive free dinners in college. This is a historic scheme of Trinity College Dublin that supports top-scoring new students who have limited financial means.
Who can apply
- Top exam score: You are an Entrance Exhibitioner. This means you scored the highest exam points of all Trinity first-year students from your secondary school. You normally need very strong results in the Leaving Certificate or an equivalent EU exam.
- Study level: You are in your first year of a full-time undergraduate degree at Trinity College Dublin.
- Nationality: You are from Ireland or another EU country.
- Field of study: Any subject.
- Financial need: You have limited financial means.
How to apply
You do not submit a separate application. Trinity's Admissions Team contacts eligible students directly in your first autumn semester (Michaelmas Term) to invite you to apply.
Beyond this historic college benefit, our guide Scholarships in Ireland covers further funding options available to students in Ireland.
