About this scholarship

Bocconi Graduate Merit Award

You will receive a 100% waiver of Bocconi's tuition and fees. For first-year students on the 2026–27 degree programmes, this amounts to approximately 18,500 euros per year. The exemption applies for the entire standard duration of your Master’s programme, usually two years, provided you continue to meet the requirements for renewal. Bocconi University in Milan funds these scholarships from its own budget as well as from donations from alumni, private donors and foundations. You will not receive a cash payment; the benefit is that your studies will be free of charge.

Who can apply

  • Level: You are starting the first year of a Master of Science (MSc) or MA degree programme at Bocconi University.
  • Where you study: You are studying at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy.
  • Nationality: Anyone can apply. International students, Italian students and Bachelor’s graduates from Bocconi University will all be considered on an equal footing.
  • Field of study: Any MSc or MA degree programme at Bocconi University is eligible.
  • Grades: You are among the best applicants. Selection is based primarily on your academic achievements; financial need is not taken into account.

How to apply

You do not need to complete a separate form. Decisions on the award of the scholarship are made automatically on the basis of your standard application for the MSc or MA programme. Therefore, only the application deadlines for the relevant programme apply. A panel will assess your complete application: your results in the admissions test (GMAT, GRE or Bocconi Test), your grade point average, your personal statement and your CV. If you are awarded the scholarship, you will be notified at the same time as you receive your offer of admission. Most scholarships are awarded to applicants in the earliest application rounds, so applying early is advantageous.

How realistic are your chances?

This funding is awarded solely on the basis of merit, and there is no set number of places. It is only awarded to applicants who rank among the very best in each admissions round. As most funding is awarded in the early rounds, applying early significantly improves your chances. If your grades and test results place you amongst the best in the applicant pool and you apply early, your prospects are realistic. If your profile is merely solid, the competition is fierce.
