About this award / prize

Paolo Prioli degree prize

The best Master’s thesis on the topics of business organisation, human resource management or organisational behaviour will receive a one-off prize of 2,500 EUR. Bocconi University in Milan awards this prize in collaboration with the Sofidel Group, a paper manufacturer based in Lucca, Italy. The prize is awarded for a completed thesis; there is therefore no specific funding period that needs to be fulfilled. The winner may also gain access to further career opportunities with the company.

Who can apply

  • Degree: You have obtained a Master’s degree (Laurea Magistrale) from Bocconi University in Milan.
  • Thesis topic: Your dissertation focuses on the topics of business organisation, human resource management or organisational behaviour.
  • Grade: You passed your final exam with a mark of at least 100 out of 110.
  • What counts: The prize is awarded to the final-year dissertation that has been judged to be the best in terms of quality and originality.
  • Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they have studied at Bocconi.

How to apply

To take part in a formal competition, please submit your final thesis and application documents by the deadline of 30 April. A panel comprising representatives from Bocconi University and Sofidel will review the theses and select the winner. There will be no interview.

How realistic are your chances?

This prize has very strict eligibility criteria. Only Master’s graduates from Bocconi University who have written a dissertation in one of the three specific organisation-related fields and achieved a mark of at least 100/110 are eligible to apply, meaning the pool of applicants is small. If your thesis fits one of these topics and is both compelling and original, your chances are really good. The prize recognises the quality of your work, not a polished application.
