Part-time student collaboration at the University of Bari

You will earn 6 EUR per hour, tax-free for up to 150 hours of part-time work, spread over 12 months. If you work all the hours, this amounts to a maximum of 900 EUR per academic year. The university pays this amount in a single lump sum as soon as your work has been confirmed. The University of Bari Aldo Moro offers this to its own students, with 333 places available each year. The work is light and student-friendly: assisting in libraries and study rooms, providing support in offices and IT rooms, web communication, academic advising (including for international students and refugees), outreach activities or software development. This is not a standard employment contract, and the university insures you against accidents and third-party liability.

Who can apply

• University: You are enrolled at the University of Bari Aldo Moro (at the Bari, Taranto or Brindisi campuses).
• Study phase: You are in the first year of a two-year master's degree (no credit requirement), or from the second year onwards in a bachelor's or master's, up to one year beyond the standard length of your degree.
• Credits: If you have already completed your first year of study, you must have earned at least two-fifths of the credit points (CFU) required for the previous academic years by 31 December of the application year.
• Field of study: Open to all subjects.
• Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply. 16 of the 333 places are reserved for international students, and further places are set aside for students with a disability.
• Not eligible: First-year Bachelor’s students, students who have exceeded the standard period of study by more than one year, students taking just a single course, students who already hold an equivalent qualification, and anyone who received an ADISU scholarship in the previous year.

How to apply

You apply online via your personal ESSE3 account in the ‘Segreteria’ menu. You must also confirm that you did not receive an ADISU scholarship last year. The application window runs from 27 March to 30 April for the 2024/25 round, and from 27 May to 30 June for the 2025/26 round, in each case until 12:00 midday. Places are allocated on the basis of a ranking list determined by your accumulated credit points or – for first-year Master’s students – your Bachelor’s final mark.

How realistic are your chances?

With 333 places available each year, this programme is far more open than a single award and is restricted to Bari’s own students. Places are allocated based on the ranking of credits earned, so students who complete their degree programme quickly have the best prospects. Apply as soon as the application window opens and ensure that your credits meet the required minimum.
