About this grant / loan

Bonus Laureati tuition reduction (University of Bari)

You will be eligible for a 80% reduction of your tuition fee (the ‘contributo onnicomprensivo’, Italy’s flat-rate tuition fee) if you enrol on a Master’s programme at the University of Bari Aldo Moro after successfully completing your previous degree within the prescribed time limit. The reduction amounts to 80% of the total fee you paid in the final year of your completed degree programme. The university will automatically apply this reduction to your first-year fees, and any remaining balance will be carried over to the following year. You may only claim this reduction once. It is intended to reward students who complete their degree within the standard duration of study plus a maximum of one additional year.

Who can apply

  • University: You are studying at the University of Bari Aldo Moro in Italy, both as part of the degree programme you have completed and as part of the Master’s programme you have enrolled in.
  • On-time graduation: You have completed your degree within the standard duration of study plus no more than one additional year.
  • Next step: You enrol on a Master’s programme at the same university.
  • Field of study: Open to all subjects.
  • Nationality: All nationalities welcome.
  • Who pays your fee: You are not eligible to participate if an employer or another organisation that has an agreement with the university covers your tuition fees.

How to apply

You do not need to submit a separate application. The university will apply the reduction automatically as soon as you enrol on your Master’s programme. Please check the Student Registry’s deadlines for enrolment and note the cut-off date of 11 August in the fees regulations.

How realistic are your chances?

This is not a merit-based scholarship, but a rules-based concession. If you have completed your degree at the University of Bari within the prescribed time limit and enrol there on a Master’s programme, you will receive this concession automatically. The only real hurdle is to complete your degree within the standard duration of study plus one year. Provided you do so, and provided no external employer is covering your tuition fees, you will receive the discount.
