For part-time work at the University of Ferrara, you will earn 7.50 EUR per hour, up to 150 hours per academic year. This amounts to a maximum of approximately 1,125 EUR in total, and the remuneration is exempt from Italian income tax (IRPEF). You will assist staff in carrying out the University’s services. Examples include the library and archives, study rooms, language and computer rooms, information and guidance desks for other students, as well as reception and courier services. Whilst carrying out your duties, you are covered by accident and third-party liability insurance, and you have 10 months from the start of your employment to complete the hours. You must not be asked to teach, set or mark examinations, or handle public funds.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are enrolled at the University of Ferrara.
• Study level: You are in your second year or a subsequent year of a Bachelor’s degree programme, or a 5- or 6-year Master’s degree programme under the single-cycle model, or you are studying a two-year Master’s degree programme.
• On track: You are within the standard duration of your degree programme or have exceeded it by no more than one year. Falling further behind will result in expulsion.
• Income: Your ISEE (Italy’s official measure of household income and assets) must not exceed 60,000 EUR. If your income is from abroad, you must provide the relevant foreign documentation.
• Field of study: Open to all subjects.
• Nationality: Open to all nationalities.
• Other work: You do not have any other job whose working hours overlap with the times when the university needs you.

How to apply

You must apply online via your personal Unife account by 2 November 2026 for the academic year 2026/2027. Please have your ISEE certificate (or proof of income from abroad) to hand when applying. The university will then publish a ranking list. This will take into account 75% your academic performance (credits earned and grade point average) as well as 25% your income. Once you are on the list, you should respond to job offers as soon as they appear. Each university institution selects the most suitable candidate, and in the event of a tie, the applicant with the higher ranking takes precedence.

How realistic are your chances?

This offer is aimed exclusively at students at the University of Ferrara who are within their standard period of study and do not exceed the income threshold; consequently, the pool of applicants is small and limited to this university. Your position on the ranking list depends mainly on your grades and credits, so students who are progressing through their studies on schedule and can demonstrate solid results have the best prospects. The total budget is limited and places are allocated whilst funds are available; it is therefore important to achieve a high ranking and to respond quickly to offers.
