For a Master’s thesis on the topic of ‘The internationalisation of small and medium-sized enterprises in the pharmaceutical industry’, you will receive a one-off prize of 1,382 EUR. As a rule, 2 prizes are awarded each year. Winners will also have the opportunity to undertake a 6-month internship at Farmigea, a Pisa-based pharmaceutical company, for which they will receive a monthly stipend of 500 EUR. The prize is funded by Farmigea and awarded by the University of Pisa through its Department of Economics and Management (DEM) in memory of Leopoldo Federighi.

Who can apply

• Degree level: You are a Master’s student at the University of Pisa.
• Programme: You study Management and Control, or Marketing and Marketing Research, at the DEM department.
• Thesis topic: Your dissertation focuses on how small and medium-sized pharmaceutical companies expand into other countries.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

Applications must be submitted via the DEM department’s website, in the ‘Bandi & Concorsi’ section. The deadline for applications is 30 September.
