What you get

At Kore University of Enna (UKE) in Sicily, you will be fully exempt from the annual tuition fee (tassa di frequenza) of 2,500 EUR. The waiver applies for the standard duration of your degree programme plus one further year. The amounts are fixed at the level applicable in the year of your enrolment. You will continue to pay the fixed fee of 1,250 EUR per year. For degree programmes with an additional admission fee, such as Medicine or the healthcare professions, this admission fee will not be covered. The university offers this exemption to support victims of organised crime and – under the current provisions – people fleeing war or persecution.

Who can apply

• Your situation: You are considered a victim of the Mafia or organised crime, your family has been affected by organised crime, or you are fleeing your home country due to war or persecution.
• University: You enrol at Kore University in Enna.
• Field of study: Open to all degree programmes.
• Nationality: Open to all nationalities.
• Grades (first year): Your school-leaving mark is at least 75 out of 100.
• Progress (later years): You have earned at least 75% of the credit points allocated for this year, plus all credit points from previous years. Furthermore, you are no more than one year behind the standard duration of your degree programme.
• No double benefit: This discount cannot be combined with any other UKE fee reduction. The University will apply whichever arrangement is more favourable. However, you may still combine this discount with regional (ERSU) and external scholarships.

How to apply

Applications are made via the Enrolment Office when you enrol at the university. There is no separate deadline beyond the enrolment process itself.

How realistic are your chances?

This is not a competitive scholarship with a limited number of places. Rather, it is a fee waiver linked to a specific personal circumstance. If you belong to one of the eligible groups, meet the grade or credit requirements, and can provide evidence of your circumstances, you will be granted the exemption. The key factor is that you provide evidence of your eligibility, not competition with other applicants.
