About this scholarship
What the Top TEN Student Program gives you
You get your main tuition fee waived in full or in part for one academic year. This is the contributo onnicomprensivo, the variable core tuition charge. The University of Bergamo (UniBg) grants it to up to 10% of its top-performing students purely on the basis of grades, with no income test. Two smaller fixed charges are not covered: the regional student fee (130 to 190 EUR depending on your income) and the 16 EUR stamp duty. Together these come to 156 EUR that you still pay yourself.
Who can apply
- University: You are enrolled at the University of Bergamo in a three-year bachelor, a combined bachelor-master, or a master degree.
- Field of study: All subjects and departments qualify.
- Nationality: Any nationality can apply. There is no citizenship restriction.
- Grades (first-year bachelor): Your school leaving grade is at least 85 out of 100. A higher grade means a larger waiver.
- Grades (first-year master): Your previous degree was graded at least 105 out of 110, which earns a full waiver.
- Grades (later years): From your second year on, your weighted average grade and the credits (CFU) you earned by 10 August decide the waiver.
- Fees paid: You paid the 156 EUR of regional fee and stamp duty by your course deadline.
- Continuous study: You have studied without a break since you first enrolled in the university system.
How to apply
There is no application. The university selects students automatically, so you only need to be enrolled and to have paid the 156 EUR on time. The list of selected students is published by 31 January 2027.
How realistic are your chances?
This is not a single prize but a waiver open to up to 10% of all UniBg students. In recent years around 1,900 to 2,000 students received it each year, so the group of winners is large. Your prospects come down to your grades against those of your fellow students. If you sit clearly above the 85/100 or 105/110 thresholds and keep your average and credits high, you have a real chance. Make sure the 156 EUR is paid on time, since a late payment rules you out.
