University of Brescia - Scholarships “Roberto Rocca”

What you get

You will receive a one-off scholarship of around 233 EUR (lump sum) for your Master’s degree in engineering at the University of Brescia. The university awards 2 scholarships per academic year. These are funded by Dalmine S.p.A. (a company within the Tenaris Group) in memory of Roberto Rocca.

Who can apply

• University: You are enrolled at the University of Brescia and are on track with your study plan; you have no outstanding modules.
• Programme: You study one of four Master's degrees: Industrial Automation Engineering, Materials and Product Innovation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Management Engineering.
• Credits so far: In your first year of study, you must have earned at least 15 ECTS credits (CFU) by the deadline. In your second year of study, at least 60 ECTS credits. Credits from work placements are not counted.
• Grades: Your weighted average is at least 26 out of 30, and your mark in your Bachelor’s degree was at least 100 out of 110.
• Income: You must submit your ISEE income indicator (an official Italian measure of household income). Where applicants have the same qualifications, priority will be given to the applicant with the lower income.
• Nationality: All nationalities can apply.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted online via the PICA platform (pica.cineca.it). The deadline for applications for the current round is 24 April 2026 at 13:00. A five-member panel (three members from the university, two from Dalmine) assesses applicants on the basis of their grades and income. In the event of a tie between two candidates, the younger candidate will be given preference.

How realistic are your chances?

This funding is very limited: only students on four specific Master’s degree programmes in engineering at a university, who have very good marks and a good Bachelor’s degree result, may apply for just 2 places. The pool of eligible applicants is small. So, if you clearly meet the grade requirements and are on track with your studies, your prospects are good. A lower household income (ISEE) gives you an advantage if applicants are otherwise equally qualified.
