About this award / prize
General Description
A fund as set up at University College Cork in memory of the former Charles Yelverton Pearson. This prize consists of a medal. The Pearson Medal is awarded to the student that obtains the highest marks in Surgery at the Final Medical Examination.
Requirements
To be eligible for the award a candidate must have attended University College Cork the three years prior to the Final Medical Examination. A candidate cannot have taken the Third University Examination in Medicine more than three years prior. The candidate must also have taken the entire Final Medicine Examination.
