Teknikum Student Accommodation Scholarship of 1978

Teknikum Student Accommodation Scholarship of 1978

You will receive a one-off housing allowance of approximately 10,000 DKK (around 1,340 EUR) to cover your rent, deposit or first month’s rent. This is paid as a lump sum, not on a monthly basis. The money comes from the Danish Society of Engineers (Ingeniørforeningen i Danmark, IDA), which manages the fund. The number of grants awarded each year depends on the return the fund generates from its assets. You may only use the money for housing purposes; it must not be used for study trips.

Who can apply

• Degree: You study on the Danish Diplomingeniør (B.Eng.) programme at a Danish institution, or you graduated from it recently and are continuing your studies in the same field.
• Where you continue: If you’ve just graduated, you can continue your studies in Denmark or abroad – whether they’re practice-oriented or theoretical.
• Field of study: Engineering, ‘Diplomingeniør’ degree programme.
• Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
• Financial need: You need help with your housing costs. You are not entitled to this assistance if you own a large property or have substantial savings.

How to apply

Apply for the grant online each year by 15 September via the Fund’s ‘GrantCompass’ portal. Decisions and payments are made in October or November.
