Principal Isabelle Hortense Aymonier's Memorial Scholarship

You will receive a one-off payment of about 6,000 DKK (around 800 EUR), which will be paid out in January. It is intended for female students who are studying for a Master’s degree at the University of Copenhagen and require financial support. The grant is awarded once a year. Study trips or periods spent abroad are not usually taken into account.

Who can apply

• University: You’re studying at the University of Copenhagen.
• Degree: You are aiming to complete a Master’s degree.
• Field of study: You are studying theology or training to be a teacher.
• Gender: You are a woman.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Financial need: This is the main criterion. You will be asked to provide comprehensive details of your financial situation, such as your debts, housing costs and the income of your spouse or partner. Your grades play only a minor role in this assessment.
• Timing: You have priority if you only have 1 to 2 years left until you graduate.

How to apply

Applications are submitted via Selskabet Philadelphia, which now administers this scholarship alongside its own. A single form covers both. The application deadline is 15 December 2026. The University of Copenhagen publicises the call for applications through an announcement.
