General Description

The Foundation Bursary Fund of the Chemical Industry Association awards annually the maximum doctoral fellowship for a PhD in biochemistry, pharmaceutical and life sciences. The scholarship is designed to promote the highly talented young scientists in chemistry and related fields. Funding is awarded for two years and is in the amount of 1,600 euros per month. Each year, the successful applicant will also receive 1000 euros to purchase literature and to attend scientific meetings in the context of the thesis.

Requirements

The scholarship is aimed at students in chemistry and related fields (Biochemistry, Pharma and Life Sciences) with a university degree. Candidates must already have a diploma giving access to doctoral studies in chemistry or a related field. Excellent academic performance is also a criteria. The scholarship is awarded to students with German or EU nationality only. Exceptions can be made for non-EU nationals who do research in Germany and have studied in Germany.
