Abertay rUK Scholarships (Business / Science and Social Science / Games Computing Cyber)

What you get

You get up to about EUR 4,700 (£4,000) in cash over four years, paid as roughly EUR 1,175 (£1,000) each year while you study on campus in Dundee. For the Business and the Science and Social Science courses there is a much bigger extra: your fourth-year tuition fee of about EUR 10,900 (£9,250) is waived. That means a four-year Scottish honours degree costs you the same as a three-year degree elsewhere in the UK. For the Games, Computing and Cyber courses you get the cash only, with no fee waiver. The cash is paid into your bank account each January to help with living costs. The awards come from Abertay University in Dundee, Scotland, and cover students starting in September 2026.

Who can apply

• Where you live: You live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland. Abertay must classify you into the "Rest of UK" fee group.
• Level: You are starting a full-time bachelor's degree at Abertay in Dundee.
• New student: You are a brand-new starter for September 2026 and have met all the academic conditions of your offer. Students already at Abertay, or transferring from another UK university, cannot get it.
• Course: Your course is one of the three eligible groups: Business, Law and Marketing; Science and Social Science (such as Psychology, Criminology, Forensic Sciences, Sport and Exercise, Biomedical Science and Engineering); or Games, Computing and Cyber (such as Computer Science, Ethical Hacking, Computer Games Technology and Computer Arts). One award is tailored to each group.
• Entry point: For Business and for Science and Social Science, you must study all four years at Abertay, so entering directly into year 2, 3 or 4 does not count. For Games, Computing and Cyber, you can also apply if you enter directly into a later year.

How to apply

There is no application form. If you meet every condition, you get the scholarship automatically and are told once you accept your offer of a place. You cannot combine it with other Abertay scholarships, but you can hold it alongside the Abertay RUK Bursary.

How realistic are your chances?

This is not a competitive award. There is no selection and no ranking. If you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, start one of the listed courses at Abertay in September 2026 and are classed as Rest of UK, you get it automatically. Your chance depends only on whether you meet those fixed conditions and take up your place.
