About this grant / loan
Tuition Loan (University of Bradford)
You can borrow up to about EUR 12,900 per year (up to 10,830 GBP) to cover your full undergraduate tuition fees at the University of Bradford. This is a government loan run by Student Finance England, not a grant, so you pay it back later. The money goes straight to the university, so you never handle it yourself. From January 2027 a new system called the Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE) applies. Under it you can borrow tuition loans up to a total of about EUR 46,700 (39,160 GBP), roughly four years of full-time study.
Who can apply
- Study level: You study for an undergraduate degree, full-time or part-time. Part-time courses must run at 25% intensity or more.
- Course: Your course leads to an officially recognised award, such as a bachelor's degree, foundation degree, HNC/HND or an integrated master's. Degree apprenticeships do not qualify.
- University: You study at a recognised degree provider such as the University of Bradford.
- Nationality and residence: You are a UK or Irish citizen, or have settled status in the UK. You normally live in England and have lived in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man for at least three continuous years before your course. Other nationalities may get the tuition loan only, without a maintenance loan.
- Previous study: This is usually your first higher education qualification. If you already hold a degree and took a tuition loan for it, you may not get more funding, apart from some exceptions.
- Age: There is no upper age limit.
How to apply
You apply online through Student Finance England at gov.uk/student-finance, not directly to the university. Processing takes around four weeks. You must reapply for each year of your course.
