The Parents’ Learning Allowance that values up to £1,573 per year can be given to students who are studying full-time and having children to support them on their learning costs. It can help buying study materials, traveling costs and paying for textbooks. The household’s income will be the main determinant to the actual given amount. The PLA is paid on top of the other student finance and it doesn’t have to repaid back. It will not also affect the tax credit or your benefits.
