About this grant / loan
General Description
If you are a full-time student who uses registered childcare then you may be eligible to receive a Childcare Grant provided by the Scottish Government. It is means-tested and is awarded at the discretion of the University of Edinburgh on a case-by-case basis. The support includes child minders, after school clubs, day care, babysitter services, and providers of pre-school education. Payment is usually by cheque but it can be paid directly to a bank account.
Requirements
Full-time undergraduate and full-time postgraduate students are eligible. They must be in receipt of tuition fee loan support from SAAS. EU students, overseas students, PhD students, and part-time students are not eligible to apply.
