General Description

The Nederlandse Taalunie (Dutch Language Union) offers scholarships to non-Dutch students who want to gain a Masters degree in Dutch. The scholarships can be used for Master degrees in the Netherlands and Flanders. Students are expected to use the degree to work with the Dutch language professionally in their home countries. The intent is to help Dutch devisions in foreign universities and colleges progress to full departments offering Bachelor and Masters courses. The scholarships include full tuition fees, partial travel costs to and from the Netherlands, a monthly stipend of 814 Euro and, where applicable, visa application costs. The scholarship lasts 12 months, regardless of the master programme's duration.

Requirements

Students may not be Dutch. Students must hold a relevant and valid bachelor degree or equivalent. The scholarship is only available to Masters degree in Dutch language and/or literature. Students are to use the Dutch language professionally in their home countries, preferably for educational purposes.
