Elvas Municipality - Higher Education Scholarship for students living in Elvas

What you get

You will receive 150 EUR per month for one academic year. The money is intended to cover the costs of a university degree or a higher vocational qualification (Curso Técnico Superior Profissional). It is provided by the Camara Municipal de Elvas (Elvas City Council), which supports young people in the region in continuing their education. You may reapply each year, provided you continue to meet the eligibility criteria.

Who can apply

• Where you live: You live in the municipality of Elvas (Concelho de Elvas).
• Age: At the time of your application, you are 25 years old or younger.
• Level of study: You are enrolled in higher education at a public, private or cooperative institution.
• Field of study: Any topic is fine.
• Academic progress: You have passed the last school year and have been promoted to the next year group.
• Household income: Your household’s annual gross income per person is no more than 12,353.99 EUR.

How to apply

The application period begins in September and ends on 31 October. Applications must be submitted in person at the municipality’s central counter (Balcao Unico) or online via the virtual counter. A provisional list of eligible applicants is usually published in December.
