About this scholarship

ISPA Merit Award

You get a 70% reduction on your annual tuition fee for one academic year. The same 70% cut also applies to your enrolment and yearly re-enrolment fee. It does not cover any other academic charges, and you cannot combine it with another tuition-reduction programme. The award comes from Ispa (Instituto Universitário de Ciências Psicológicas, Sociais e da Vida), a university in Lisbon, Portugal. It rewards students who enter with top grades.

Who can apply

  • Study level: You are starting the 1st year of a bachelor's or master's degree at Ispa.
  • Admission grade: Your average entry mark is over 165 out of 200 marks.
  • Enrolment: You are taking all the modules in the first year of study, which amounts to a total of 60 ECTS credits.
  • How you got in: Admission to a Bachelor’s degree programme is granted via the general selection process or by transferring from another higher education institution or another degree programme. For a Master’s degree programme, the degree must have been obtained entirely at Ispa.
  • Field of study: Open to all Ispa degree programmes.
  • Not eligible: You cannot apply if you are studying under the regulations for international students or as part of a partnership degree programme.

How to apply

Apply for funding via the Ispa online portal when you apply for a place at university. Funding is awarded to eligible students with the highest admission grade point averages. Students who applied during the first phase of the admissions process will be given priority; any remaining places will be allocated to those who applied in later phases. The results will be published on the Ispa website, and the fee reduction will then be credited to your account.
