Pampilhosa da Serra Municipality - Higher Education Scholarship for students living in Pampilhosa da Serra

Benefit

In your first year of study, you will receive one-time grant of 1,000 to 1,600 EUR. Everyone receives a basic amount of 1,000 euros. In addition, depending on your secondary school leaving certificate, you may receive up to 600 euros: the better your final grade, the higher the top-up. The money comes from the municipality of Pampilhosa da Serra in central Portugal, which has been running the programme since 2003 to help local families fund a university education.

Eligibility

• Where you live: You live in the municipality of Pampilhosa da Serra.
• Your schooling: You have completed the 12th year of secondary school and attended all 3 years of secondary school in Pampilhosa da Serra.
• Grades: Your average is at least 10 out of 20.
• Study stage: You are starting your higher education studies in the same year that you are applying, and do not yet hold a higher education qualification.
• Field of study: Any topic is fine.
• Where you study: You can study at any higher education institution in Portugal.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

Please complete the application form and submit it, together with the required documents, between 1 and 15 November. You can hand it in in person at the local education authority or send it by email. The scholarships will be awarded in December during a ceremony.

How realistic are your chances?

The local authority awards only a small number of scholarships each year: 14 students in December 2025 (totalling 18,650 EUR), 16 in 2024 and 14 in 2022.
