About this scholarship
What you get
You will receive a monthly grant for 10 months of the academic year, paid by the Municipality of Vouzela (Câmara Municipal de Vouzela). The total annual amount depends on your household’s per capita income. It ranges from 600 EUR per year for higher earners up to 1,000 EUR per year if the per capita income is no more than 200 EUR per month. For income levels in between, 700, 800 or 900 EUR per year is paid.
In certain cases, your total amount may increase by 10%: If you or a member of your household has a disability or a serious illness, if you are a single parent, if you volunteer with the Vouzela Volunteer Fire Brigade (Bombeiros Voluntários de Vouzela), or if you are a victim of domestic violence. An additional amount of 5% will be added for top academic results. You may receive this grant alongside other scholarships, provided that the total monthly amount does not exceed the IAS value. The IAS (Indexante dos Apoios Sociais) is a standard reference value used in Portugal for social benefits.
